Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X|S?

The co-op shooter Helldivers 2 from Sony could get a port for Xbox Series X|S. Insider Nick Baker claims that talks are currently underway to create such a port.

The discussion is reportedly at an early stage and does not guarantee that the port will eventually appear. According to him, such negotiations can always end in nothing, so players should not jump to conclusions.

However, he cited Sea of Thieves for PlayStation 5, which has a high interest on the Sony platform, so the platform holder may have good reasons to consider a "retaliatory" transfer of its game to Xbox to attract an additional audience. In addition, this is far from the largest PlayStation franchise, so Sony may be more willing to share it with Microsoft than something like God of War.

Baker also noted that Hiroki Totoki, who has taken over as interim CEO of PlayStation, is generally more open to experimenting with a multi-platform approach than his predecessor Jim Ryan.
